About
I started my field recording career with no audio background and was overwhelmed by the new hobby.
The information I could find was so steeped in technical terms and jargon, I had to do research on my research just to figure out what was being described.
Fast forwarding several years, I am now a professional field recordist and my work has been featured in documentaries, mobile apps, and on TV.
I chose to write this book to help others in my shoes. It’s designed to bring beginners up to speed on all the field recording essentials so you can start recording sounds now and with confidence.
Also included are helpful tips and advice that I’ve learned from the field to help you hone your skills as a field recordist.
