Stereo Bars
Stereo bars are used for holding multiple microphones in different stereo configurations.
With a stereo bar, you only have to use one mic stand or tripod to hold two microphones.
They are especially useful when recording in A/B, X/Y or ORTF stereo mic arrangements.

The K&M stereo bar is a great budget option.
It’s build solidly from aluminum and features 3/8” screws for both microphone and stand attachment points.
Microphone width can be adjusted from 2.4-6.8”.

Rode Stereo Bar
The Rode Stereo Bar offers some nice features for its affordable price.
Features include:
angle and spacing measurements for easy ORTF and X-Y configurations
5/8” adapters for the 3/8” microphone attachment points
risers for raising one microphone above the other
Microphones can be spaced from 2.5” to 7.9”.
The only downside to the Rode Stereo Bar is its plastic construction.
