Stereo Bars

Stereo bars are used for holding multiple microphones in different stereo configurations.

With a stereo bar, you only have to use one mic stand or tripod to hold two microphones.

They are especially useful when recording in A/B, X/Y or ORTF stereo mic arrangements.

Best Overall

Grace Design SB-30

The Grace Design SB-30 is a state-of-the-art stereo bar allowing for precise and repeatable setting of microphone capsule spacing, angle of incidence, and rotation around the x axis.

It’s manufactured from aircraft aluminum, brass, and stainless steel.

With precision scales for angle and distance engraved on the Spacebar components, it is easy to make perfectly measured and repeatable stereo microphone setups.

The SB-30 comes with two microphone holder assemblies and an additional tall microphone holder. The taller microphone holder body can be used to raise one microphone to avoid interference if the mic spacing requires that the microphone bodies overlap.

Microphone spacing ranges from 2.7” to 10.2”.

The stand and microphone attachment points are both 5/8”.

This stereo bar will last several lifetimes if properly cared for.
